Day’s End 23:55

Capturing Time — six observational studies / Study 6 of 6

A roughly drawn pale circular rim encloses a dark, mottled centre against a nearly black field of loose pastel marks.

A late-night observation records the collapsed flowers and dark water at the end of the decay sequence. Sparse reflected light and oil-pastel marks connect the vessel with the aesthetics of memento mori and the final stage of a cycle.
