Absorbed in a Book

Pale pink and beige folded fabric forms a compressed relief around a book-like rectangle, with seams, creases and a small circular symbol.

Layered and compressed fabric becomes a membrane that holds traces of pressure, handling and duration. The work translates absorption in a book into a material encounter with inward attention and stillness, using the measured body surface as a metaphor for skin.
