Figure and stairways

Shown under a descriptive catalogue label.

Figures and constructed architectural space / Study 2 of 3

A black-and-white armed figure at lower right points a greatly enlarged firearm towards the left foreground, in front of a dense network of stairs and arches.

A large foreshortened firearm projects beyond a rectangular field of intersecting stairways. A figure occupies the lower right, linking the extended foreground shape to the dense architectural space.
